• 2009 Player's Tour PLAYER OF THE YEAR POINTS/CRITERIA

Points
Juniors will be eligible to earn points in the six events from their scheduled series. Points will be awarded to boys who place 1st through 20th in 18-hole and 36-hole events. Points will be awarded to girls who place in the top six in both 18 and 36-hole events. *All juniors who finish in a tie will split the points. There will be SIX 2009 Players’ Tour Series Champions. Upon completion of the final event in each individual Series, one boy and one girl will be designated as Series Champion for his/her separate series.

• Juniors participating in the Players’ Tour are eligible to earn an invitation to play in the end of the year event, the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions. This tournament will be a one-day, 36-hole event that will take place at The Legacy Courses at Cragun’s on August 7th (NEW). Invitations will be extended to the top 20 Boys and 7 Girls* in each individual series OR any junior who has won a 2009 Players’ Tour Series event.

• The Players’ Tour Player of the Year will be awarded to one boy and one girl following completion of play at the 2009 Tournament of Champions. Points at the Tournament of Champions will be awarded to the 1st through 20th place finishes in the boys division and 1st through 10th place finishes in the girls division. Points will be split for ties at all Minnesota PGA Players’ Tour events and the Tournament of Champions. Any score posted as a With-Draw (WD) – (Without good reason), No-Show (NS) and No-Card (NC) will automatically make the junior ineligible for Player of the Year. Any junior disqualified (DQ) for cheating will also be ineligible for Player of the Year. *The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Committee reserves the right to adjust the point distribution depending on the field size of the series.
