The Minnesota Junior Golf Scholarships are available to all high school seniors that have previously played or currently play in ‘Sota Series events. Since the scholarship program was put in place in 1996, more than $700,000 has been awarded to more than 190 scholarships recipients.
To be eligible for the PGA of America REACH Foundation Minnesota and 3M Open Scholarship, applicants must have been a member of the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Program in a current or previous year. The applicant also must be a senior in high school with a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
In 2019, PGA of America REACH Foundation Minnesota, the 501(c)3 non-profit that Minnesota Junior Golf ‘Sota Series operates under, partnered with the 3M Open to create the 3M Open – Minnesota PGA Scholarship. Minnesota Junior Golf awards this scholarship on the criterion of high school grades, class rank, ACT/SAT scores, extracurricular activities and involvement, financial need as well as a one-page essay.
